Microsoft Office Tips—Get the most out of your Outlook Workspace

Outlook 2003 added many customization options.  One of which is your mail layout.  The layout shown in the picture has the reading pane on the right side instead of on the bottom.  This screen layout really allows you to see more of your message.  There is a slight trade off in that you may see less of your message headers.  To change the layout of  Outlook 2003 go to View, Reading Pane and then choose Right, Bottom or Off.  Try all three and see what you like best.  Make Outlook 2003 work for you.

Have you recently bought a new computer?  Are you not sure how to unleash its power?

One of Microsoft’s wonderful online writers (Robbin Young) has compiled a great list of computer resources for new computer users.  It has links to dozens of Microsoft articles where new users can find information about basic computer security, surfing the Internet, fun free downloads, computer maintenance, Internet safety, basic Windows XP troubleshooting and answers to lots of other common questions and concerns.

Text Box: Mouse Madness

Do you ever feel the need to toss your mouse across the room?  Mouse control is closer than you think.  In Windows XP, go to Start, Control Panel and click on Mouse (if in Category View click on Appearance and Themes, and then click on Mouse Pointers under See Also on the left).  This will bring up your mouse options.  To change the speed the pointer moves, click the Pointer Options tab and move the slider to change the motion speed.  Other mouse settings can be changed here as well.  Happy “Mousing”!
