Text Box: TOP 3 MUST-HAVE MARKETING PIECES

Business Card
Making a great first impression often starts with your business card.
Important elements to include when designing your business card:
Your Contact Information - Including a mailing address greatly increases your
credibility and makes you look more established.
Your Logo - Check out the elf design library.
Strong Secondary Graphics and Design Elements - Often referred to as your visual library.
A List of Your Services - Especially important if you offer multiple services or your business name doesn’t make specifically clear what you do.

The best practices for using your business card:
Carry Your Cards With You At All Times
Keep a stack in your desk, your car, your wallet/purse, your briefcase
Don’t Pass Out Your Cards At Random
Wait until you’ve made a connection with someone. This will lead to a sale far more often than just “passing out” cards to everyone you meet.
Include A Copy Of Your Card With All Correspondence
This not only puts on a “business spin” , it also provides a backup return address in case the envelope is damaged or gets thrown away.
Give A Stack Of Your Cards To Potential Referral Sources
When they are speaking to people about your services, it is more likely to produce results if they have your card handy.

BUSINESS WEB SITE
An online presents is a “must” in today’s business world.
Important characteristics to consider when designing your web site:
Design Elements That Are Related To Your Logo
Referred to as your visual vocabulary.

A Web Site Promotion Plan
It is important to market the web site so the optimal number of people know it’s available.

FOLLOW UP PIECE
It is said that a prospect needs to hear from you seven times before they use your services.
A follow up tool such as a postcard, flyer, newsletter, or note card is essential to make sure that your services stay “top-of-mind” with the people that you meet.

Make sure that your follow up tool :
Looks Professional
Contains Content both Valuable and Understandable to your Audience
Includes a Call-to-Action - Give them a reason to get in touch with you
Has Some Personal Information - Make the recipient feel they know you or could know you.
Has An Easy Way to Get On or Off Your Mailing List
